Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 August 2026

In short. An institution subscribes; its staff get accounts.

The institution owns its records and can export or delete them at any time.

We keep the service running and will not use your data for anything other than running it.

These terms apply to the Grandhika app and web dashboard, operated by Zyvix Technologies, Wayanad, Kerala, India. By using the service, the institution and its staff agree to them.

1. Who can use the service

Grandhika is licensed to institutions — schools, colleges, and public libraries — not to individuals. A subscription covers one institution at one location. Staff use the service under their institution's subscription.

Accounts must not be shared outside the institution. The institution is responsible for what its staff do with their accounts, and for closing accounts when staff leave.

2. Subscription and fees

Fees are set out in the quotation and invoice issued to the institution before activation. Charges typically cover a first-year setup and licence, followed by an annual renewal.

Payment is made to Zyvix Technologies by UPI or bank transfer, using the details on the invoice. Payment is not collected inside the mobile app.

3. If a subscription lapses

When a licence expires, staff accounts stop working and the app shows a notice to contact the institution's administrator. Records are not deleted immediately — they are retained for 90 days so the institution can renew or export its data. See the Privacy Policy for what happens after that.

4. Your data is yours

The institution owns every record it enters: members, catalogue, and lending history. We store and process that data only to provide the service.

We will not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anyone's AI models. An institution may request a full export of its data at any time by writing to admin@grandhika.in.

5. What the institution is responsible for

6. Automatic text recognition

Grandhika reads book covers using automated text recognition to save typing. It is an aid, not an authority. Recognition can be wrong, particularly with worn covers, unusual scripts, or poor lighting. Staff should check what is captured before saving a catalogue entry. We are not responsible for errors in a catalogue that were not corrected before saving.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, hosting faults, and network problems can cause downtime. We will give advance notice of planned maintenance where we can.

8. Limits on liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by Indian law, our total liability to an institution for any claim is limited to the fees that institution paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for indirect losses, for loss of data where the institution held no independent backup, or for decisions made on the basis of reports generated by the service.

9. Ending the agreement

An institution may stop using the service at any time by not renewing. We may suspend or end access if fees go unpaid, if the service is misused, or if continuing would breach the law — in which case we will give notice and a reasonable chance to put things right, unless the breach is serious.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and significant changes will be emailed to each institution's registered contact. Continuing to use the service after a change means the change is accepted.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Wayanad, Kerala.
